Kanata Bites & Delights
Monday, October 27 | 5:00–9:00 PM | Brookstreet Hotel, Kanata
Mark your calendar for an evening that’s all about good food, good company, and giving back.
Kanata Bites & Delights is a relaxed, tasting event bringing together local restaurants, beverage makers, and food lovers — all in support of the Kanata Food Cupboard’s School Snacks Program.
What to expect
When you arrive at the Brookstreet Hotel, you’ll be greeted with a welcome drink from SFR Distillery and a food passport — your guide to tasting your way through a lineup of local favourites like Next, Amuse, Indian Punjabi Clay Oven, and more. Enjoy samples from 10 restaurants and 5 beverage producers, all included with your $100 ticket. (See the full list of participating culinary and beverage makers below.)
Take your time, mingle, and make an evening of it. Whether you’re meeting up with colleagues after work, catching up with friends, or just looking to meet new people, this event is designed to be fun, friendly, and full of flavour. You can chat with the chefs, grab a spot at a high-top table, and enjoy music from DJ Perki throughout the night.
Don’t forget to stop by the silent auction — a great chance to get a head start on your holiday shopping. With items like Le Nordik Spa tickets and a stay at the Hard Rock Hotel available, you might even treat yourself while supporting a great cause.
Why it matters
All proceeds from Kanata Bites & Delights go toward the Kanata Food Cupboard’s School Snacks Program, which provides healthy, nutritious snacks to children throughout the school year. Every ticket helps ensure that kids in Kanata have the nutrition they need to learn and thrive.
The Kanata Food Cupboard is an independent food bank and the only food bank serving the residents of Kanata. This year, the Kanata Food Cupboard is assisting close to 460 families each month. In September alone, 875 children were supported through the School Snacks Program. Increasing food insecurity in our region means requests for assistance have risen by roughly 20% year over year.
As the Kanata Food Cupboard marks its 40th anniversary in 2025, this event is a chance for you to contribute to the vital work of supporting families and individuals in need of food assistance.
So gather your friends, your colleagues, or your favourite dining companion, and join us for a night of community, conversation, and culinary discovery — all for a cause that matters close to home.
Tickets are $100 per person or $1000 for a group of 12. Get yours now!
