Deliver Christmas Hampers
Last year, over 500 Christmas hampers were delivered by volunteers in three days. Thank you to all those who assisted!
We would appreciate your help again this year.
Help spread some Christmas cheer by delivering Christmas hampers to Kanata individuals and families in need. Delivery dates this year are December 13th, 15th, and 17th. Deliveries will be made from the Kanata Food Cupboard warehouse location at 340 Legget Drive, Unit #46.
Requirements for delivery volunteers:
Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid driver's license and insurance;
Volunteers must use their own vehicle when delivering hampers;
Volunteers must bring along another volunteer 18 years of age or older to accompany them on the deliveries (all individuals in the delivery vehicle must be at least 18 years of age);
Volunteers must be comfortable with lifting bags/boxes/items of various sizes and weight.
Deliveries will start at 11:30am on each day and will continue until all hampers for that day have been delivered. A typical delivery day ends at approximately 3:30pm, but timing can change based on the number of hampers to deliver, the number of delivery volunteers available, and weather conditions. We appreciate any amount of time you can volunteer, whether it's for a couple of hours, or all afternoon.
Please note: if you are volunteering with a large number of volunteers, your group will be assigned a specific arrival time different than the 11:30am time noted above.
If you would like to deliver Christmas hampers to Kanata individuals and families in need, please complete the Delivery Volunteer registration form. We ask all delivery drivers to register their participation; passengers are not required to register.
In the ‘notes’ section on the registration form, please indicate on which day you would like to volunteer.
